Ogwang was arrested on Wednesday in Masindi town by police and court bailiffs on the orders of the Masindi High Court deputy registrar, Simon Kintu Zirintusa.
Godfrey Ogwang Okello, the Chief Administrative Officer, Pakwach district has been arrested over failure to pay a 43 million shillings debt.
Ogwang was arrested on Wednesday in Masindi town by police and court bailiffs on the orders of the Masindi High Court deputy registrar, Simon Kintu Zirintusa, who issued the warrant of arrest on the 25th of April 2018.
In 2012, Ssansa Nalubega dragged Ogwang, who was also the former CAO Kiryandongo to court accusing him of wrongful interdiction.
Ogwang interdicted Nalubega who was the town clerk of Bweyale town council for absconding from duty. Nalubega then dragged him to court for wrongful dismissal.
The Masindi High Court then ruled in her favor and ordered Ogwang to pay 43 million shillings to Nalubega.
However since 2012, Nalubega has never been paid.
