He said that government and the deceased's family have agreed from police will be carrying out postmortem and related investigations and later hand over the bodies to A plus funeral services.

The Clerk to Parliament has since confirmed that the session will start at 9.a.m.

MP Abiriga was killed by unknown assassins who are said to have been riding on a motorcycle that ambushed him while on his way back home on Friday evening. The legislator was killed together with his bodyguard.

The shooting comes just days after President Museveni's assurance that government will defeat the masterminds of the new wave of ‘urban terror' activities like kidnaps and murder.

Abiriga is yet another ‘VIP' to be murdered in cold blood by assassins using motorcycles. The others killed in a similar way are the former Police Spokesperson, Andrew Felix Kaweesi, Senior Principal State Attorney, Joan Kagezi and Sheikh Maj. Mohammed Kiggundu, among others.

Police has since arrested a number of suspects in connection to the said murders but up to now none has been convicted.
