The Pemba Warriors defeated Betway Power 72-66 in a hotly contested National basketball game played at YMCA Court on Friday night.

Warriors led in the first quarter 25-20 and 39-25 in the second quarter. In the third and fourth quarters Warriors continued to lead 58-41 and 72-66 despite an attempt by the betway side to catch up. Warriors also had Cyrus Kiviri make 14 points.
Michael Makiadi and Issac Afidra made 21 and 10 points respectively for Betway Power.
Warriors have maintained their unbeaten run, while Betway Power have now lost twice.
Meanwhile, in the ladies games played earlier, Nkumba Lady Marines Stopped Kampala International University Rangers 71-50.
Although the teams played the first and second quarter with a close margin of 20-15 and 36-31 in favor of Nkumba, the KIU side could not close the gap which saw Nkumba proceed with 59-34 and 71-50 win by the final whistle.
Nkumba's Brenda Ekone went a game high 27 points, while KIU's Ritah Komugisha fetched 10 points.
