On Thursday, Health Workers from Kiwoko Hospital led by Nakaseke District Health Officer Doctor Badru Ssesimba rushed to Buswagiro village in Butalangu town, after a nine-year-old girl identified as Bridget Nalunkuuma collapsed and died after developing signs related to Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic fever.

They picked blood samples from the deceased and disinfected the house where she was found lying in a pool of blood. The blood samples will be taken to Uganda Virus Research Institute for confirmatory tests of the cause of death.

The dead body was later transferred to Nakaseke Hospital Mortuary ahead of the burial which will be conducted today in Lusanja village in Luweero district.
