Hundreds of NRM members in Bundibugyo District braved the hot Friday weather to turn-up for the election of Woman Member of Parliament and directly elected constituency MPs as NRM flag bearers a head of the 2021 general election.

By 10:00AM most of the voters were already at their respective polling stations in the two constituencies of Bughendera and Bwamba.

The exercise also witnessed a heavy security deployment to avert any possible outbreak of violence.

Though polling was largely peaceful, issues of registration of persons who had missed on register brought up flares and their guidelines on control of covid-19 were also disbanded in all stations.

Bundibugyo District is one of the NRM strong holds with party primaries treated with lots of engagements.

Tallying is set to be held at Bundibugyo RDC’s premises this evening.
