Government will be forced to dig deeper into
the treasury to repair infrastructure damaged by the heavy rains in Rwenzori
Region.
The rainfall, which triggered flooding, has already left a
trail of destruction across the region.
In Kasese, a number of rivers and their tributaries have

The rains also
triggered landslides and fault lines that have damaged or cut off key roads
across the district.
A number of families remain trapped in the
mountains where they escaped for safety while hundreds are homeless due to the destruction. URN
