President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Wednesday presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the long-awaited Bunyoro University.
The event took place at Nyantwe Cell, Buhimba Town Council, in Kikuube District.
The university will be built on a 100-acre piece of land donated by Dr. Henry Wamani, a resident of Kikuube District.
The ceremony was attended by various government officials and local residents. Uganda Radio Network (URN) captured the event in photographs.
