This is the second strike by the students of Mvara in a space of a week. On Thursday last week the students destroyed school property and dumped fecal matter in the administration block after they failed to agree with the school administration on the opening of the dormitories during meal times for them to access some of their feeding materials.

Mvara Secondary School in Arua district is closed.
This followed a failed meeting called by the school administration, police and the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) to iron out complaints raised by the students a week ago when they first went on strike, destroying school property.
The students were protesting the closure of school dormitories during meal times. Last night unidentified students torched one of the administration blocks, in what is believed to be a continuation of the strike.
Uganda Radio Network was present at the time the students were given up to five minutes to disappear from the school and now brings you some of the images.
