More than 70 pilgrims who embarked on a journey to trace St Janani Luwum’s final journey have completed the 510 km walk to Wii-Gweng village in Mucwini Sub County from Namirembe in Kampala.

The pilgrims arrived on Friday afternoon amidst loud cheers from local communities to the ancestral home and burial ground of the former archbishop of the church of Uganda.

They began their journey on January 29th at Namirembe, the former Archbishop’s palace, Kampala Serena hotel, the former Nile Manson and Nakasero, the former headquarter of the then state research bureau were Luwum was killed.
