Police deployed heavily on Saturday at Point FM radio station in
Mityana town after receiving information that National Unity Platform (NUP)
party President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was going to appear on a radio talk
show.
The police started deploying at about 6.00 am to stop Kyagulanyi from appearing
on theensonga political
talk show from 10pm to 1pm.
Sam Balaba Magala, the station manager and program presenter says that more
than 20 armed police officers surrounded the station for six hours.

However, the district security team led by the Resident District Commissioner
Florence Beyunga met the radio management.
Balaba says that they were told to air the program, but on condition that no
member from the People Power movement is hosted.

However, People Power Spokesperson Joel Sennyonyi said that Bobi Wine did not
have plans of going to Mubende district for the radio talk show.

regional Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala said that the deployment was normal
and there was no need for alarm.
