Cue out:..….able to arrest him”//
Police said the suspect’s name and image couldn’t be shared with
the public, saying they have only shared it with people known to the suspect. According
to sources, some people have shared useful clues with the force to the suspect’s
whereabouts.
Sanyu’s murder came barely four months after
two other girls were raped and killed in a similar manner in the same zone.
Police faced difficulty while retrieving Sanyu’s body from the water trench with
residents faulted it for failure to bring a sniffer dog to trace the assailant.
Ssalongo Abudu Sekyewa, the Chairman St Francis zone, expressed
concerned over increased crimes in his jurisdiction. Sekyewa rallied police to
intensify patrols in the area especially in the wee hours of the night when
thugs are on the loose.
