Police in Apac District have launched an investigation into the mysterious death of their colleague, Detective Constable Bobson Bua.
Bua, Force Number 58143, was attached to Apac Central Police Station and was found dead on Sunday evening in Dulowelo Cell, Central Ward, Akere Division, Apac Municipality. According to eyewitnesses, his body was discovered lifeless in a maize garden, about 10 meters from the uniport where he had been residing.
A police officer, who requested anonymity, revealed that the deceased was found lying next to a bottle of locally brewed waragi, commonly known as "Mogo amoga."
Rogers Kapere, the Apac District Police Commander, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations into the tragic death have already commenced. Preliminary findings by the police suggest that excessive alcohol consumption, possibly linked to depression, might have played a role in Bua’s death. Kapere noted that before his death, the deceased had separated from his wife due to domestic issues, which may have led to his resorting to alcohol as a coping mechanism.
