Police in Bulambuli Arrests Three for Suspected Murder

It's alleged that the late was last seen drinking in the bar of Nabukalu Zaina at around 9:00pm on the 29th/04/2020 and then in the morning the next day the body was found in the garden down under the cliff.

Police in Bulambuli district is holding three people for suspect murder.

The suspects are; Zaina Nabukalu, a bar owner, Jame Wanyoka and Bosco Nazofu are all residents of Bumwambu parish in Lusha sub county.    

The trio were reportedly involved in the killing of Irene Muyama, a 50- year old  resident of Masejese village, Bumwambu parish Lusha Sub County in Bulambuli District.   

It's alleged that Muyama was last seen drinking in Nabukalu's bar at around 9:00pm on April 29th, before her body was found in the morning the next day in a garden. 

James Nabulolo, the LCll Chairman of Bumwambu parish, said they suspect the killing occurred on the night of April 29th - 30th, 2020. He said the body of the deceased was found under the cliff by one of his residents when she was going to her garden who immediately reported to him.    

Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson said that police is investigating the circumstances that led to the killing of the deceased.    

He said the three people arrested will assist police during investigations and they are currently being charged of suspected murder under CRB241/2020 murder.
