It’s alleged that on Monday evening the deceased went to a drinking joint in Aduku Town Council with a village mate Moses Emate and the two left together for home but surprisingly Olam's body was found lying lifeless by the roadside, the following morning.
Police in Kwania have arrested one person to aid investigations into the murder of a 30-year old man.
The deceased Richard Olam, a resident of Amia A Village, Aboko parish in Aduku Sub County was on Tuesday found dead at Arocha River, between corner Odeo trading center and Aduku Town Council along Apac-Lira Highway.
It’s alleged that on Monday evening the deceased went to a drinking joint in Aduku Town Council with a village mate Moses Emate and the two left together for home but surprisingly Olam's body was found lifeless by the roadside, the following morning.
Police from Kwania Central Police Station visited the crime scene and arrested Emate as the prime suspect. The decease’s body was taken to Aduku Health Center IV for postmortem.
A police source who preferred anonymity says an injury was found on the decease’s forehead indicating that the suspect could have been beaten by a blunt object. Alfred Agura, the Officer in charge of Aboko police post confirmed the incident.
Godfrey Ongom, the LC2 Chairman of Aboko says that the deceased's body has been handed to relatives for burial, as police carry on with their investigation.

Salim Komakech, the Kwania RDC condemned the act saying security is investigating the matter. Section 189 of the Penal Court Act Cap120, punishment of murder is death sentence.
