Police Investigate Sudden Death of Intern Doctor in Kitgum

According to Joe Oloya, the Aswa East Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Dr. Abaho reported for duty on Monday morning, and performed his duties until 6:00 pm when he retired to the Staff quarters.

The police in Kitgum are investigating the sudden death of Dr.Rodgers Abaho, who passed away on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital

According to Joe Oloya, the Aswa East Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Dr. Abaho reported for duty on Monday morning, and performed his duties until 6:00 pm when he retired to the Staff quarters. 

Later that night, at around 10:45 pm, Dr. Abaho was called to the maternity ward to attend to a mother who had delivered with complications. He explained that after attending to the patient, Dr. Abaho returned to his residence where he suddenly fell ill at around 2:53 am. 

He went to the Outpatient Department (OPD) for treatment, where he developed rashes all over his body and difficulty my in breathing.  Efforts by his colleagues to save him,.didn't results as  Dr. Abaho passed away two hours later at 4:23 am. Oloya disclosed police have opened an inquiry into the sudden demise of Dr. Abaho. His body was taken to Gulu Referral Hospital for autopsy to determine the cause of death.

He explained that Dr. Abaho's relatives in Ishaka, Bushenyi requested for the autopsy. T
