Police Sets up Additional Posts for Martyrs Day

Two Police posts have been set up to boost security ahead of matyrs day celebrations at Namugongo.
Police personnel are arleady deployed at both the Catholic and Protestant shrines ahead of this Sunday's celebrations.
Police spokesperson, Simeo Nsubuga has warned pilgrims not to take bottles or any alcoholic drinks. Police is also restricting children, phones, bags and laptops into the shrines.

Meanwhile certain areas have been designated for special-parking. Pilgrims using Jinja road will turn off at Kirekka up to Kyaliwajjala.
Cars with red stickers (VIP) will be allowed to proceed to the shrine from Kyaliwajjala and turn right before reaching the shrine and park at Namugongo boarding primary school.
