Mayambala last campaigned in west Nile districts of Arua and Maracha and Koboko districts on 4th December. However in Arua Mayambala was accommodated at Arua police station where he slept in his car after failing to meet the hotel costs.
The Independent Presidential
candidate Willy Mayambala has missed campaigning for the last five days due to an illnesses
that is said to be as a result of fatigue.
Mayambala last campaigned in west Nile districts
of Arua and Maracha and Koboko districts on 4th December. However in
Arua Mayambala was accommodated at Arua police station where he slept in his
car after failing to meet the hotel costs.
The Next day when Mayambala returned to his Mukono-Seeta home, he developed sickness that couldn’t allow him resume his campaigns the following day. Since Friday he has missed his campaigns in Yumbe, Adjumani, Moyo, Kitgum and Gulu districts.
Speaking
to Uganda Radio Network-URN this evening, Mayambala said he has been at Mukono regional
hospital but the testing could not find malaria that he suspected, but the
doctors informed him that the problem is as a result of Fatigue.
“I have received a few medications. You know our
hospitals have no drugs, the doctors told me to buy other drugs which is
unfortunate," Mayambala told URN. "I am still not feeling well and am having a headache but I have
got some drugs and hope my condition will improve.”
He apologizes
to his many supporters in all areas he has missed campaigning. Mayambala was supposed
to campaign in Lira district on Wednesday which is likely not to happen.

Mayambala has severally been failing to turn up
for campaigns due to financial constraints. His Campaign Manager, Karim Jamal,
says the presidential candidate has been facing financial challenges especially
fuel and vehicles which bars him from traversing the area as planned.
