The Public Service Commission has rejected the appointment of Serafine
Ocala and Okeng George Johnson to the Kwania District Service Commission.
In August 2021, Kwania LCV Chairman Geoffrey Alex Ogwal Adyebo nominated Ocala
to represent PWDs on the commission and Okeng as a member. The district council unanimously
approved their nominations together with three other members that including Tom
Lakana Odur Anang, the former Kwania County MP as Chairperson of the Commission.
Others were Odur Ogwang Sipririno from Atongtodi, and Semmy Rose Ojuka all
appointed in the position of the members of the District Service Commission. The
names were sent to the Public Service Commission for endorsement.
Christopher Oguta the Kwania District Principal Human Resource Officer says
Ocala's name was omitted due to irregularities in the documents but Okeng's
name was rejected due to missing documents. He adds that the documents
have been resent for more verification.

Kwania curved from Apac, became operational on July 1 2018, however, the district
has been operating without the substantial District Service Commission, Public
Accounts Committee and the District Land Board.
Kwania district operates at about 45% of the required human resource.
