Light rains in Mityana town council have delayed the rally of presidential candidate, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi Wednesday afternoon.
Mbabazi was expected to reach Mityana town and hold a rally at 2pm at Busimbi playground.
However by 2pm, there were only about 200 people who had gathered at the venue to welcome Mbabazi. The organizers were still mobilizing people as well as finalizing other preparations at the venue.
Richard Lumu, Mbabazi's coordinator in Mityana explains that the rains delayed activities.

Scores of police officers commanded by Mityana District Police Commander, Emmanuel Mafumbo have deployed at the playground and in town to ensure a peaceful rally.
Joy Baagala, the Democratic Party Woman MP flag bearer for Mityana says they are expecting him to address issues that affect them.
She wants Mbabazi to emphasize his commitment to increase funding in agriculture.
Josephine Namusisi is another supporter who has turned up with intention of seeing Mbabazi for the first time, and hopes he has capacity to change the health sector.
By press time,Mbabazi\'s convoy was on the way to Mityana. He is expected to hold a procession from Jezza trading center to Busimbi playground.
