Residents of Abwoc B, Bardek, and Akolomomti villages in Eastern Ward, Inomo Town Council, Kwania District, have initiated the manual repair of the road connecting Ogobi to Omoladyang Parish via Amambale Primary School. The road, which spans 4.5 kilometers, links Inomo Town Council in Kwania to Bala Sub County in Kole District, and has deteriorated significantly due to large potholes and flooding, rendering it impassable.

The affected residents, faced with the disrepair of their vital road network, began repairs on Monday at the dilapidated “Odado swamp.” The effort, led by Jimmy Emmanuel Okello Ecun, a Kwania District LC5 aspirant, and Dorcus Acam Okello, the LCV female councilor for Inomo Town Council, saw the use of spades, pangas, and hand hoes to begin restoring the road.

Dorcus Acam Okello, Inomo Town Council LCV female councilor, noted that many roads in Inomo Eastern Ward are flooded due to flash floods from Oder Swamp in Akali Sub County. She revealed that her previous attempts to secure intervention from Kwania District leaders had failed, prompting her to encourage residents to take matters into their own hands and repair the road.
