Rugaaga Health Center IV has received theatre equipment worth 17 Million Shillings from Bulamu Healthcare international.

The equipment comprises of surgeons stool, sterilizers, patient stretcher with castors, Laryngoscope set, Oxygen regulator, Caesarean set and generator among others.

Since its construction in 2013, the theatre has been non-functional due to a lack of equipment.

The facility serves Bukanga North and South that comprises 13 Sub counties and two town councils with a population of about 160,000.

Claire Nyamwiza a resident of Nyabubare says the biggest challenge that they have been facing is during caesarean referrals which she says was dangerous sometimes due to long distances.

He says that equipping the facility is expected to improve health service delivery in the district and also spare residents the hassle of moving long distances to access health services.
