SC Villa has lost 2-1 to BULFC, in the Uganda Premier League match played on Tuesday at the Njeru based FUFA technical center.

Musa Esenu scored BUL’s two goals earned in the first half, while Isaac Ogwang scored Villa’s goal in the second half.

Villa suffered a setback after their defending midfielder, Oscar Mawa was sent off after injuring BUL’s Aggrey Madoi, in the first half.

Another defender, Richard Ayiko, who steered the game throughout the playing time, replaced Madoi.

Mawa’s red card, however, angered a section of Villa supporters who pelted BUL’s technical bench team with stones.

Their actions did not affect the progress of the game and a section of their leaders directed errant supporters to vacate from the pavilions, which led to the restoration of sanity across the pitch.

Villa’s head coach, Petros Koukouras says that the players failed to adjust to their agreed game plan, causing them to concede two goals in the first round of the game, which partly killed the players’ spirit from fighting to win the game.

Koukouras however, says that his players exhibited a competitive game throughout the second round by pressing the ball towards their opponents' 18-yard box, which enabled them to earn a goal.

Meanwhile, BUL’s head coach, Alex Isabirye says that he is building a winning character amongst his players, whom he has trained to exhibit all their footballing tactics and skills, throughout the remaining Uganda premier league games.
