Several agricultural businesses and entrepreneurs have thronged Arua City for the second edition of the Agribusiness and Renewable Energy Expo.
The expo that starts on Friday will run under the theme: Innovation for a Resilient Future:
According to Omia Agribusiness enterprise which is
organizing the agricultural expo, it is aimed at promoting and educating
farmers on better agricultural practices and businesses, which they consider to
be the biggest business and development opportunity in the area.
Iganesira Zacky Omia, the Chief Executive Officer of Omia
Agri-business enterprise, says categories like crop and animal farmers,
agricultural equipment, pests and disease control mechanisms, and feed millers among
others are participating in the expo. Omia adds that this expo is also aimed at preparing
the farmers for the agricultural season set to begin by March with
the onset of the rains.

and also an agroforestry farmer in West Nile commended Omia for organizing the
show adding that the agricultural expo will help farmers, especially in the area

from Logiri Sub County in Arua district says participating in the expo will not
only help them network with other farmers but also expose them to more market

which deals in Poultry, Piggery Fishing, Hydro and Microphonic also another exhibitor

is characterized by cross-border trade, subsistence farming, and minimal
commercial farming but has the potential of agribusiness, which can better be
