Security has
cleared the National Unity Platform – NUP Presidential candidate Robert
Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine to campaign in Kagadi district.
All
presidential candidates are required to get clearance from police to ensure
compliance with the COVID-19 preventive guidelines.
The
candidates are required to hold their campaign rallies in open spaces so as to
comply with the social distancing requirements. Kyagulanyi is
expected to campaign in Kagadi district on Wednesday morning.
Lillian
Ruteraho, the Resident District Commissioner - RDC Kagadi says Kyagulanyi will be
received by police at Muzizi Bridge and will be given three minutes to wave to
his supporters in Muhorro town council before proceeding to Kagadi model Primary school where he is scheduled to address his official rally.

warned residents of Kagadi against excitement which could lead to flouting of
COVID-19 and Electoral Commission guidelines.

Stephen Kamar,
the Kagadi district police commander has cautioned NUP supporters from being
chaotic as they receive Kyagulanyi saying they are ready to handle any
situation.

district says their engagement with security to allow their presidential candidate hold rallies in Kagadi ended peacefully adding that they are ready to receive
Kyagulanyi in the district.
Kyagulanyi will
on Wednesday campaign in Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro and Hoima districts,
according to his campaign schedule by the Electoral Commission.
