The six bodies, which were burnt beyond recognition, were retrieved moments ago in an operation headed by the officer in charge of Ntinda Police Station Swaib Taban.

They have now been taken to the City Mortuary in Mulago and will later be referred to the National Analytical laboratory for DNA testing.

The six were reportedly trapped inside the factory store loading mattresses when the fire started. Police identified them as Lawrence Mulindwa, Gerald Oyo, Joseph Oboth, Silas Soka, Alex Ofwono and one Owere. All five, except Mulindwa, hailed from Tororo District.
