Six Held for Killing Colleague in Oyam

According to the Police, the group attacked Oming and beat him into a comma. He died moments later. Police add that the arrested persons, had spent time together in a drinking joint on Saturday night but It remains unclear, what sparked off the fight.

 Police in Oyam district is holding six people in custody for allegedly killing their friend Simon Oming, a resident of Minakulu.

According to the Police, the group attacked Oming and beat him into a comma. He died moments later. Police add that the arrested persons, had spent time together in a drinking joint on Saturday night but  It remains unclear, what sparked off the fight.

Geoffrey Otto, 35, a resident of Akaidebe village in Minakulu State House told the Police that the deceased was seen in the company of the suspects and later in a scuffle with the same group, on the fateful day.

North Kyoga Regional Police Spokesperson David  Ongom Mudong says that the suspects will aide police investigations into the matter, as well as lead to the arrest of some of their colleagues, who are still at large. The suspects are being held at Oyam Central Police Station

Particulars of the arrested persons have been concealed for fear of jeopardizing ongoing investigations into what could be a possible case of murder.
