Hundreds of mourners, among them, family and friends convened at his brothers home in Lusanja, Wakiso district for his send-off, early today. They were joined by a team of youths donning black t-shirts with inscriptions; Team Robert Kyagulanyi, and a portrait of the deceased.
Yasin Kawuma, a driver who was shot to death during a scuffle in Arua district on Monday, has been laid to rest at his ancestral home in Buwama, Mpigi district. The deceased's body was handed over to the family at 4 am from Arua district, where he breathed his last on Monday.

Ibrahim Sekajja Ssebuliba, a soccer coach from Kiteezi told mourners that he has been working with Kawuma for more than three years, training Children under the Minerals Soccer Management Group, a talent development and child outreach project based in Kampala.
Ssebuliba speaks of Yasin as a humble, peaceful and committed a person. He says that apart from coaching, Kawuma supported the team with basic necessities like food and scholastic materials adding that the untimely death puts the team in a tight position.

Some of Yasin's trainee's speak of him as a good trainer who dedicated his time and effort to ensure that they learn and master relevant soccer skills. Uncle Yasin as he is also known, was a friendly and charitable coach.

Yasin believed to be in his 40's is survived by three wives and 11 children. His eldest son, 20-year-old Edirisa Sssebabi, is a student of Tractor Operation and Mechanics in Mwererwe Institute Matugga. Ssebabi says his father was the breadwinner of the family and prays that no stone is left unturned in the pursuit of justice.
