A teenager has been transferred unconscious from
Luweero Hospital to Mulago National Referral Hospital after being sodomised by
a Sudanese truck driver.
The Luweero District Police Commander, Abraham
Tukundane, says the 19-year- old chapatti vendor was lured into sodomy by Musab
Abashar after buying him alcohol at Mato Guest House on Sunday night.
According to Tukundane, Abashar
fled through the fence after the incident but the Guest House manager alerted
the Village Defense Secretary and Kasana Police Station, which swung into
action and apprehended him.
He says the teenager was rushed
to Luweero Hospital where he was admitted in pain. Tukundane says Abashar
was subjected to HIV screening and he tested positive.
He says his victim was immediately put on
post-exposure prophylaxis drug to prevent him from contracting HIV.
Tukundane says police have since preferred charges of
unnatural offense against the suspect and forwarded his file to the Residence
State Attorney for advice.

victim has been referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital for further
He explains that the victim fell unconscious and developed
convulsions in the stomach, which prompted them to refer him to Mulago Hospital.
He explains that although the victim was
introduced to post-exposure prophylaxis-PEP, he was unable to take it because
he is unconscious.
Wasswa says that the patient needs to undergo CT scan
to establish the cause of the convulsions.

Abashar denies any wrong doing, saying he only interacted
with teenager who was trying to connect him to a commercial sexual worker who
was no show.
He explains that he fled from the guest house when the workers locked
The suspect faces life imprisonment once found guilty. Section 145 of penal code act provides that any person who has carnal
knowledge of any person against the order of nature commits an offence and is
liable to imprisonment for life.
