A senior six student of Solberg College school in Rutooma village, Nyabikoni ward, Central Division, Kabale municipality was found dead in a suspected suicide on Easter Sunday. Nikita Kiconco, 21, was among 60 students who remained at school when others took a break for Easter.

Tusiime says that as students returned from prayers in the afternoon hours, they found Nikita hanging dead in the dormitory. According to Tusiime, Nikita and Alice were resting in different dormitories. Elly Maate, Police spokesperson for Kigezi region, confirmed the incident, saying that the deceased's body was taken to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations into the matter continue.
