Bwambale adds that the shortage in staffing, especially in the health
department is affecting service delivery. The other affected areas are
education and administration.

Etyeni Muhumuza, the LC V Councilor Burondo Sub County, says that the
district has been grappling with staff shortage since last year.
week, the Bundibugyo Chief Administrative Officer-CAO, Fred Kalyesubula
directed all heads of administrative units in the district to terminate the
services of volunteer staff.
He noted that using volunteers was
irregular and unacceptable since the persons cannot be held accountable for
their actions and inactions
Basaija is a graduate of Uganda Christian University (UCU-Mukono) holding a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication.
