Super League Bound Teams Battle Petitions

Audio 1

Two super league bound teams, Bugerere FC and Mbarara United FC, are being accused of fielding double licensed players.

Moses Magogo, FUFA competitions committee secretary, says his office received petitions and will meet soon to arbitrate.

FUFA rules stipulate that a soccer player cannot play for two teams in the same season.

In Kabale district, the morale among soccer players is low after they lost an opportunity to join the super league.

Jackson Mushabe says poor leadership is affecting the levels of soccer development in the region.

Mushabe says FUFA should send officials from Kampala to observe the progress of these competitions, to control the anomalies.
