During the attack, the suspect grabbed Amos Sekanza from the mother and
beheaded him. The mother managed to flee to survive being killed.
Sekanza dead body will be buried on Saturday at Kyalubambula in Kakooge Sub County.
Akoth says they need to first give time to the mother to bury her child
before they engage her to identify whether the suspect in custody is the real killer.
She, however, noted that more investigations are being done and the media will
be updated about the progress.
Meanwhile, the body of the local musician Kelvin Mutegesi also known as Sida
Man who was shot dead in possible mistaken identity has not yet been handed
over to relatives for burial.
The body was transferred from Bombo Military Hospital to Mulago Hospital for post-mortem
and brought back to Nakasongola Health Center IV mortuary late in night. It is expected
to be handed over to family today for burial.
Other dead bodies will also be buried on Saturday in Nakasongola, Kaberamaido
and Nakaseke districts.
The Nakasongola District Security Committee led by Resident District
Commissioner Dan Muganga donated 100 kilograms of maize flour to each
family and mobilized transport for dead bodies which were transferred to
Kaberamaido and Nakaseke.
They also called for calm as they investigate the matter and establish the
motive of the killer.
