TDA-Go Forward, NRM Fight For Kololo

The Democratic Alliance-Go Forward Team and the National Resistance Movement are fighting for rights to use Kololo ceremonial grounds for their post-nomination rallies.

A row has developed between the National Resistance Movement party and opposition political parties supporting Amama Mbabazi\'s presidential bid, over the venue for post-nomination rallies.

Presidential aspirant Amama Mbabazi\'s camp under their newly formed TDA-Go Forward coalition, insist that they should be granted permission to use Kololo airstrip. But the NRM has already secured permission and is setting up ahead of the nomination dates.

Democratic Party President, Norbert Mao on Tuesday told journalist that they have requested for Kololo for their rally.

However, NRM deputy spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo says they have already booked Kololo Ceremonial grounds from 2pm to 4pm for President Yoweri Museveni\'s public rally.

Both President Yoweri Museveni and Amama Mbabazi have booked 3rd November, 2015 for their presidential nomination, and want to hold rallies after the exercise.

Management of Kololo ceremonial grounds is now under the Ministry of Defense.
