Teenage Girl Stones Father to Death

Abia Kobusingye, a school dropout, is said to have stoned Charles Bangirana, both residents of Kibingo Cell, Kanywambogo Parish in Kicuzi Sub County, Ibanda district.
Police in Ibanda is hunting for a 16-year-old girl on allegations of killing her father by stoning. 

Abia Kobusingye is said to have stoned Charles Bangirana, both residents of Kibingo Cell, Kanywambogo Parish in Kicuzi Sub County.

It is said that Kobusingye dropped out of school before having short stints in Ibanda town where she was doing casual work and other related activities.

The suspect is said to have been on bad terms with her father since dropping out of school about four years ago up to when their rivalry climaxed this week.

Reports indicate that the two had a quarrel on Thursday when Bangirana failed to give Kobusingye money to buy some yet-to-be-known items.

John Ruteguka Kihosho, a resident of the area tells URN that the deceased has been a responsible resident and has always been concerned about the daughter's failure to pursue studies.

John Tushemeriirwe Kapimpi, the Local council five Councillor for Kicuzi Sub County, says that the suspect's failure to stay in school has always been a serious concern for the father. Kapimpi says the deceased had on several occasions approached religious leaders and elders in the area to talk to his daughter to return to school in vain.

Suzan Tumuramye, the officer in charge of the criminal investigations department at Ibanda police station tsays that the police is investigating the matter.

Ibanda district police commander Denis Ochama says that a man-hunt for the suspect is on.

This is the second murder incident in Ibanda District in a space of two days. On Monday, a 52-year-old man was hacked to death by yet-to-be-known people. The deceased is  Deo Mwesigye, a resident of Rwobuhungye Cell, Kigunga Parish. 

His wife Immaculate Kobusingye says Mwesigye was picked up from his home at midnight on Sunday by a group of thugs who forcibly gained access into the house.
