Thousands in Kololo for End of Year Miracle Prayers

Thousands of people have this morning thronged Kololo airstrip to take part in the end of year miracle prayers.

Some of the people have traveled from as far as Kapchorwa, Gulu, Mbarara and Karamoja to be part of the annual event organized by the Pentecostal churches. Several people could be seen flocking into the prayer venue with their mattresses and food buckets.

President Yoweri Museveni is also expected to join the prayers, and his presence has prompted tight security at Kololo airstrip.

Some people told Uganda Radio Network that they have traveled to Kololo in the hope of finding peace restoration in their families; others have been looking for jobs for the last five years in vein while others are looking for marriages.

Meanwhile traders have taken advantage of the event to make a killing. Food vendors, have set up temporarily stalls and have been cooking food since last night, meanwhile some political mobilizers from different political parties have also used the event to sell calendars with pictures of their respective party presidents.
