Thousands of people gathered at churches, mosques and stadiums last night to pray for blessings and peace for Uganda in the year 2010.

At Kololo Airstrip in Kampala more than 100,000 people met for then national prayer celebrations dubbed, iRecover All.i

Isaac Nakabale, chairperson of the committee that organized the event, said Christians gathered at the airstrip thanked God for the success of 2009, particularly for the return of peace to northern Uganda. He said Uganda was adjusting from years of turmoil in the north and the iRecover Alli celebrations were an opportunity to look to the future with hope.
