Three family members in Bundibugyo district are in police custody in connection to the death of the family head. The suspects are believed to have killed Yusuf Matte, a resident of Bundibuga East, Bumata-Mitunda town council.

According to Daniel Tindyebwa, the Chairperson of Butama-Mitunda town council, the family has been embroiled in a land dispute for a long time. He adds that the wife together with the children have been pushing Matte to allocate them part of the family land. The Bundibugyo Police Commander, Aggrey Okumu, said police have launched investigations into the matter.
