Jotham Muhanguzi, the son to the deceased says his father was last seen with the suspects, which places them in a better position to explain circumstances surrounding his death.
Mbarara Police are holding three suspects in connection to the death of 43-year- old Eliazer Muhanguzi, a resident of Ekimoma village in Kagongi Sub-county. The suspects are William Nduhura, Bernard Tukamuhebwa and Ndona Barigye, all residents of Ekimoma village.
The suspects were picked up on Wednesday afternoon after Muhanguzi's lifeless body was found lying in a pool of blood. The trio is suspected to have waylaid the suspect and hacked him to death following a disagreement that started at a drinking joint on Tuesday evening.

Herbert Nabasa, the Officer in Charge of Criminal Investigations Officer Rubindi Police Station, says they are holding the suspects to help with police investigations.
Nabasa reveals that they have handed over Musinguzi's body to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem. Jaffar Magyezi, the Mbarara District Police Commander, says the suspects are in custody at Mbarara Central Police Station.
This is the second murder in Mbarara district within a space of less than a month. On March 29th, 2017, a prominent businesswoman in Mbarara municipality Naume Bwengye was strangled to death by unidentified thugs. The assailants found Bwengye in her shop in Andrews's cell in Kakiika Division and strangled her to death using a rope before making off with unspecified amount of money.
The attackers disguised themselves as fruit vendors to access her shop.
