Two Dead After Amuriat’s Convoy Involved in Accident

Two people have been confirmed dead after the Forum for Democratic Change - FDC presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat’s convoy was involved in a fatal accident in Nebbi district.

The accident happened this afternoon at Uvuru Nubi, an accident black spot along the Nebbi-Pakwach border.

The deceased have been identified only as Hellen commonly known as Helele and a one Zulaika. The two together with 15 others who got injured were part of a group that was traveling in a van carrying Amuriat’s public address system enroute to Panyimur Sub County Pakwach district where the FDC candidate was scheduled to address his supporters. 

Emmanuel Orombi, the FDC chairperson Nebbi district says the deceased were part of the advanced team to who were meant to drum support for the party president in Panyimur Sub County.
