Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson confirmed the detention of the Murder suspects to URN.
Two suspects are
locked up at Kibaale Central police station for the brutal murder of a
28-year-old man. The suspects have been identified as Ismail Ahebwa and a one
Mbabazi, both residents of Kihumuro Village in Mugarama Sub County.
They are accused of hacking
to death John Sunday, a resident of the same area on Sunday night. They
allegedly used a hand hoe and machete to hack the deceased on the head, face
and in stomach killing him instantly.
The deceased’s lifeless
body was found lying in a pool of blood in a nearby garden in Kihumuro village by
area residents this morning. Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson,
says Police swung into action and arrested the duo to help police
preliminary investigations show that the two fully participated in the brutal
murder of the deceased. According to Hakiza, the suspects will be charged with
murder once police investigations are complete.
