Two Karamojong Cattle Rustlers Arrested in Otuke

They were arrested by UPDF Soldiers from 405 Brigade based at Nakapelemoru Sub County in Kotido and handed over to Otuke District Security authority headed by the Resident District Commissioner, Robert Abak .
Two Karamojong rustlers from Kotido district have been arrested in Otuke district.

They were arrested by UPDF Soldiers from 405 Brigade based at Nakapelemoru Sub County in Kotido and handed over to Otuke District Security authorities.

The suspects are Keem Lirit, 22 and Michael Angura, 21 all residents of Kotido district.

The suspects are believed to be part of the group which rustled close to 30 heads of cattle from Ogwete Sub County in Otuke district last month.

Robert Abak, the Otuke Resident District Commissioner says that during the arrest, UPDF soldiers also recovered about five animals from the suspects.

Joel Oguti whose 15 cattle were stolen during the raid says that had lost interest in recovering all his animals.

Geoffrey Ogwokm says that his one cow is yet to be recovered.

Mario Odongo, the ASTU Commander, says that they have deployed officers to trace for the stolen cows.
