Two Prime Suspects Arrested in Connection to Murder of Bushenyi Businessman

According to Tumusiime, the suspects were picked up from their hideout in Bushenyi in connection to the murder of Murokozi, who was involved in the purchase of fresh tea leaves. Murokozi was strangled to death at beginning of this month shortly after withdrawn Shillings 8million from a Sacco for use in the field.
Police are holding two prime suspects in the murder of Bushenyi businessman, Vereliano Murokozi. Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson identifies the suspects as Rodgers Twesigye and Elias Ahweramukama.  

According to Tumusiime, the suspects were picked up from their hideout in Bushenyi in connection to the murder of Murokozi, who was involved in the purchase of fresh tea leaves. Murokozi was strangled to death at beginning of this month shortly after withdrawn Shillings 8million from a Sacco for use in the field.  

He was hijacked and bundled in a vehicle and showed up dead. According to Tumusiime, in the course of their investigations, they received CCTV footage from a businessman near Kyamuhunga people's Sacco to help with the investigations.    

“A certain businessman near the Sacco gave us footage from his CCTV camera and the suspects are seen calling the deceased to their car, a Premio type and later speeds off,” he said. He says a few hours after this incident that Murokozi was reported dead along Kashozi road.

He says the suspects are currently detained at Bushenyi police station as investigations are being finalized.
