The Uganda Christian University Lady Canons have put Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) Leopards in a tight spot after edging them 60-59 in a Zone 5 Basketball Championship game played yesterday.
In a game played in Dar es Salaam,Tanzania, the two teams played neck to neck before Ritah Imanishimwe made one of the last minute free throws to give KCCA Leopards the lead.
But the determined University side returned charged to win the game. The UCU Lady Canons stay undefeated after edging Tanzania's Don Bosco Lions 75-57, while KCCA is yet to win a game.
UCU's Vilma Achieng was in good form picking all the rebounds and scoring, while KCCA played without their reliable centre Martha Soigi. KCCA suffered a defeat to Rwandan side Ubumwe 70-59 in a highly competitive game on Sunday.

Meanwhile Uganda's City Oilers remain unbeaten after seeing off Citizens of South Sudan 86-53.on Saturday. The Oilers also defeated Kenyan Champions Ulinzi 93-55.
The UCU canons meanwhile lost their second game 81-58 to United states international University. The Canons had also lost 66-73 to the Rwanda Patriots side in their early game played on Saturday.
