Winners are encouraged to come forward and claim their prizes at ITHUBA Uganda's offices. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners,” added

Van Trotsenburg urged all winners to always go and claim their prizes, adding that more jackpots are expected to be won.

“This jackpot win is just the beginning of many more thrilling opportunities and substantial rewards for our participants."

The National Lottery was launched by the National Lotteriea and Gaming Board in January this year with the main objective of mobilising resources, not only for personal development, but also supporting the Education and Sports infrastructure.

It comes at a time when the country is intensifying Investments in sports infrastructure, including construction of stadia, in preparation for the hosting of the African Nations Cup jointly with Kenya and Tanzania.

The National Lottery offers numerous benefits, including the generation of funds for public projects, the creation of job opportunities, and direct contributions to the economic and social sectors.

Finance Minister Matia Kasaija awarded the National Lottery operating license to Ithuba Uganda Ltd for a tenure of 10 years, with the mission to operate and transform the National Lottery into prosperity for Ugandans.

At the official launch of the National Lottery License to Ithuba Uganda last week, Kasaija revealed that the National Lotteries Industry contributed taxes worth 193 billion Shillings against a target of 160 billion in the fiscal year 2024.

The newly launched national lottery is expected to drive this to 300 billion Shillings.
