The town council which is known for booming business in onions attracts thousands of people from Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Southern Sudan and Burundi among others.However, most of the structures in the town council are unplanned.
Authorities of Rwahi-Rwentobo town council, Ntungamo district are concerned over the unplanned structures in the area.
The town council which is known for booming business in onions attracts traders from Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Southern Sudan and Burundi among others.
The business also attracts hundreds of casual workers who flock the area to load, offload the onions.
However, most of the structures in the town council were poorly planned.
Nicholas Asiimwe Mwamba the Rwahi-Rwentobo town council LC3 Chairperson says that the unplanned structures are a major challenge which has affected development of the town.
He says that they plan to carry out sensitization campaigns for all the property owners before the enforcement is implemented.

Keith Amara, a resident says that the presence of the unplanned structures has caused congestion in the town council. He says that some property owners have gone to an extent of constructing buildings on road reserves.
Aisha Muheki a businesswoman says that the absence of proper planning has also caused poor sanitation. She says that some landlords have constructed near the drainage channels.
