Uganda’s representatives in 2021/2022 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup URA FC will this afternoon battle Ethiopia’s Coffee SC in the return leg of the preliminary round at Bahir Dar Stadium in Ethiopia 

The tax collectors will enter the tie with an advantage having won the first leg 2-1 at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende a week ago. A brace from striker Steven Mukwala helped URA FC win the first leg.

URA FC will go into the clash in search of a win or draw to secure qualification into the next stage of the competition. The winner over two legs will face off against Egyptian side El Masry in the second preliminary round fixture.

Simeon Masaba and veteran coach Sam Timbe who joined the team few weeks ago will be in-charge of the URA FC team as they try to get a positive result in Bahir Dar.

Timbe who has managed different clubs in Uganda and outside including SC Villa, Police FC Atraco from Rwanda and Tanzanian Side Young Africans.

Timbe said his players are injury free and ready for action. He made it clear that they will need early goals.

Meanwhile, Uganda’s representatives in CAF Champions league, Express FC will also face Sudan giants El Merreikh in the return leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League preliminary round. The Red Eagles won the first leg 2-1.
