Mutibwa’s lawyer, Yusufu Mutembuli, says that he is not surprised by Walusukwa’s decision to drop the petition, saying that he did not have enough evidence to support his claims of vote-rigging.

He says that in the interest of the people of Butaleja, they will pursue costs of the suit.
