Unbeaten Warriors Basketball club will on Friday face off with defending champions City Oilers in a major National Basketball league game.

The Warriors who started off the season with a massive display of efficiency have won all their four games of the season against giants Betway Power, Kampala International University (KIU) Titans, and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and newcomers Kampala University Eagles.

Warriors made use of new signings; Jonathan Kambala who has made 15 assists in the four games, Michael Ntumba Buzangu and former KIU Chris Omanye to outsmart their opponents.

The Warriors, who are positive to maintain their unbeaten run, will face wounded Oilers team which who fell to unbeaten Uganda Christian University (UCU) canons over the weekend 82-90.     City Oilers, who are six-time champions also managed to win four games against Power, KIU, Falcons and Kampala University.

However, the encounter between the two teams to be played at Lugogo MTN Arena is expected to give a hint on whether the Warriors side can eject City Oilers from their authority of Ugandan Basketball.

Ronnie Mutebi, the Warriors coach says they have been looking forward to meet City Oilers since they are the defending champions.

He says his target for his team is to look at how far they can defend City Oilers. According to Mutebi, what made their team stand out from start of season is good defence. He says the encounter with Oilers is a good mental challenge for Warriors, which is trying to make a comeback.
