The Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Premier side, Gor Mahia FC has said they might be forced to ban their Ugandan defender Godfrey Walusimbi for indiscipline.

“ There is no way we shall tolerate a player who recently renewed his contract and instead silently sneaks out to South Africa without informing us because he wants to join Kaizer Chiefs,” a bitter Lordvick Aduda told URN on phone.

Last week Walusimbi absconded from Gor Mahia FC and reliably traveled to have talks with South African top side Kaizer Chiefs over a possible move.

“I didn't expect such behavior from Walusimbi. He has very bad agents who are misleading him and they will destroy his career because they are only chasing after money,” Aduda added.

The official also warned that Kaizer Chiefs should stop thinking that Gor Mahia FC is a small Club. “ This is player tapping and that is not accepted as per the FIFA statues,” added Aduda.

Walusimbi who was part of the Uganda Cranes at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations joined Gor Mahia in 2014 and has extended his contract to 2020.

When URN contacted Kaizer Chiefs head of Communication and spokesman, Vina Maphosa he refused to explain the whereabouts of Walusimbi. " As a Club we are interested in the player. We are in the process of discussion with the relevant authorities,” added Maphosa.

Former Uganda Cranes star winger David Obua, Sula Matovu and Ivan Bukenya have also featured for Kaizer Chiefs in the past.
