Police Recovers Stolen WelthungerHelfe Vehicle

The grey double cabin pick-up car registration number UBA 736V was stolen on Wednesday when Unknown assailants attacked Dirk Ullerik, the Project Manager of Welthungerhilfe at his home in Singila, Moroto Municipality and robbed him off Eleven million shillings and the car.
Police in Moroto has recovered a stolen vehicle belonging to Welthungerhilfe, a Non-Governmental Aid and development agency working to eliminate hunger in Karamoja Sub Region.

The grey double cabin pick-up car registration number UBA 736V was stolen on Wednesday when Unknown assailants attacked Dirk Ullerik, the Project Manager of Welthungerhilfe at his home in Singila, Moroto Municipality and robbed him off Eleven million shillings and the car.

The car was dumped just 100 metres to Namalu town in Nakapiripirit district yesterday.

The police officers at Central Police Station in Moroto said that only the car was recovered. The officer, who preferred anonymity because he's not allowed to speak to the media, noted that no suspects have been arrested in relation to the crime.

According to the Ullerik, there were about eight attackers, speaking English and Lumasaba dialect.
